For the third time Næstved Municipality recently picked up host fishes in Sweden. It was the european bullhead. The bullhead, that has been missing for over 50 years in Denmark, was  re-released in river Suså both last year and the year before. Now it has also been recovered in the river.

Næstved Kommune has been electro fishing to see if the bullhead was okay. There were found 39 bullheads equivalent to 2.5 fish per meter watercourse.

That is a very good result, and therefore we went to Sweden for the third time with peace in mind to fetch more bullheads.

The Bullhead will help the thickshelled rivermussel in their return to the river. Besides bullhead also minnows have been re-released. There were also  found minnows in the last investigation.
